Gorgeous Morning

It is a gorgeous morning on MDI, after excessive heat and humidity it is lovely to wake up to clear skys, low humidity and temperatures in the 60s. Since we are in the middle of high summer season the inn is full and we are enjoying guests from all over the world. This mornings breakfast was made more enjoyable by the lovely breeze from the harbor and an almost cloudless sky through the open windows.
We are also enjoying the wonderful cut flowers available all over the island this time of year. A breakfast table is made very special when decorated with a vase of snap dragons and sweet Pea flowers. These delicate flowers are a great contrast to the bright yellow sunflowers we use in the living room and the fabulous yellow lillies blooming in the garden.
Since the morning was cool I decided to bake in both ovens and treat everyone to a series of Cranberry Hill Inn specialties.

MENU
CHOCOLATE BANANA MUFFINS
BLUEBERRY MUFFIN PUDDING
FRESH RASPBERRIES, BLUEBERRIES AND CHERRIES
SPINACH AND CHEESE QUICHE
ORANGE SLICES WITH MINT
We are also enjoying the bounty of our garden at this time of year, our raspberry bushes are over flowing with fruit and our herbs, especially the mints are thriving. For my next bolg I will discuss the many ways we use the raspberries for breakfast.
